This is my first intial idea for the contents page of my music magazine. I have decided to use red and black for the colour scheme as it matches the front cover, however I may decide to change this. I have seperated the contents into the sections 'Features' 'Competitions' and 'Regulars' as this is conventional for magazines to do this. I have put Features at the top because as the articles are featured on the front cover it means these are the articles the audience are likely to want to read first. I plan to add more pictures of different people to fill the blank space, as most music magazines feature more then one picture on their contents page.

Front cover

This is my first idea for my front cover. I have decided to use the colour scheme of grey, red and white because it is conventional for music magazines to have a colour scheme of three colours. I am planning to add more by taking some more pictures of different people and adding these to it, as it is conventional for music magazines to have a variety of different pictures on the front cover. I also want to add more feature articles for the front cover, as the music magazines I have looked at have front covers which are filled up with pictures and articles. I have chosen this colour background because it is conventional for indie music magazines to have a grey background, and also the red and the white coloured font stands out well on this background.
